STEP 01 - Creating of CarbonIT Accounts
Accounts are created for the organization or institution to access CarbonIT, with the primary username and any additional users being registered in the system.
STEP 02 - Identification of Inventory and Locations
The years to be calculated are determined for inclusion in CarbonIT, and inventories are defined on a monthly, periodic, or yearly basis. The specified locations are also registered in CarbonIT.
STEP 03 - Data Collection
Users collect data on greenhouse gas emissions from various sources, using manual entry or Excel templates. The collected data is converted into greenhouse gas emissions using standard methodologies, and the institution's emission factors and activities are added to the system.
STEP 04 - Calculation
The collected data is converted into greenhouse gas emissions using international or national standard methodologies. The institution's emission factors and activities, if any, are also added to the system.
STEP 05 - Offset (Balancing)
After the emissions are determined, offsetting activity
data is added, and reduction activities such as carbon sink areas are shown in the report.
STEP 06 - Reporting
The calculated greenhouse gas emissions are automatically generated by the system in
accordance with ISO 14064-1 standards.
STEP 07 - Target Identification and Evaluation
Reduction targets are determined according to the Carbon Footprint results, and the software evaluates the steps towards these targets by providing alternatives and suggestions.
